    I ordered “Sunflower Park” by Gustav Klimt, which is a gorgeous piece of art, and I am having a great time working on it. This is my first PBN project since I was a kid and I was worried it wouldn’t be challenging, the paint and canvas would not be high quality, but boy was I wrong! The design is very intricate and some spaces are very tiny! I am using a lighted magnifier and the smallest paintbrush I could find at the art store, and I am digging it! I already know where I will be hanging the finished work, and I am now shopping for my next project, although I am far from finishing. I suspect this one will take me a month or more. Perfect for long snowy winter nights by the fire.

    I was expecting a fun, relaxing activity primarily, and secondarily, maybe something nice enough to display somewhere. But the quality of the materials is amazing! It’s a beautiful canvas, not merely paper. The brush sizes are fantastic. The paint is great quality and has high coverage. I do not have the issue with translucency the other reviewer mentioned. The only time you can see lines and numbers through is when you’ve applied too thin of a layer or if you accidentally dilute the paint with water. I’ll be happy to hang this in my home or office once it’s completed.

    I wanted to dislike this product because I was not happy that it is manufactured and shipped from China. Having said that, the quality of the product was very good and although I had some dry paint on another order, the paint quality for this was excellent. This painting is very detailed so Be prepared for a small brush and glasses. I am very pleased with the end product.

    The last paint by numbers I completed was about 6 years ago. My, times they are a changing. The last one was an 8 x 10 with about 10 colors. The 16 x 20 with 21 paints was fantastic. I was able to unwind and forget about life. I got so interested and curious regarding the finished painting that I found myself working on it about 5 times everyday.
    Turned out really well. Very proud of the finished pic.

    This is the second painting that I do. I love them. This was a little harder because the numbers are small but it gives you that much more satisfaction when finished . I bought better brushes and they seem to help a lot with the small spaces. If I can do it anyone can.

    The canvas is good quality and the paint is fine. My only frustration was that the there was one color that they needed to send at least one more little container of. I think it was either color #2 or #5 (I don’t remember). The top part of the painting is full of different dark shades and I ended up scraping the sides to get every bit of paint out. The lighter colors need several coats to cover up the number. Some numbers were hard to decipher or really close to the edge but it’s not impossible to figure out. As they say on the site, it did take about a month for it to arrive.

    This one was my first PBN. I enjoyed the process but I wouldn’t recommend this particular image for beginners. I say this because I’ve gone on to do 2 more PBN and this one was definitely more on the “detailed” side. That being said, it’s definitely doable and I have learned that patience is important no matter which image you choose!

    I was amazed and how easy yet fun this was for me. The free paintings are a little smaller which is great for starting out. The sky looks a little different from the picture but its hard to get all the details in a paint by number unless you blend.

    I am fairly creative, but painting from scratch has never been my strong suit. I do love however painting by the numbers and then ‘making’ it my own. As one of the reviewer said, I use it as a stress reducer. I followed the pro-tip of ironing the back of the canvas and also pinning it to foam core board. That way it doesn’t have to sit out as I have a very small flat. I can tuck it away. I am currently working on my second PBN now and still loving it. Here is my version.
